JKFNW Hombu Dojo

COVID POLICY

Updated 10/6/22*

At JFNW, our top priority is always student safety. We ask that everyone use your own judgment when choosing to come to the dojo and train closely with others. Every circumstance may be different and each person should assess their own level of exposure and immunity to make an educated decision regarding whether or not it is safe to join us. Online class participation is always available as an option for anyone who isn’t sure. We also welcome wearing a mask during your training at your own discretion.

The minimum policy set out for the dojo is as follows:

  1. In order to train with us in person at the dojo, we are recommending the minimum vaccination status recommended by the CDC.
  2. Do not come to the dojo if you are feeling sick for any reason, even if it is not COVID-19.
  3. Do not come to the dojo if you test positive for COVID -19.
  4. Always follow the recommended CDC guidelines for when to return to activities after testing positive for COVID-19.
  5. If someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, please follow CDC guidelines for COVID exposure. Please stay home until the sick person in the household no longer has a fever, then you are welcome to come to the dojo, but you must wear a mask for 5 days after the person in the household no longer has a fever.
  6. If you are exposed to someone who tests positive outside your household, you do not need to restrict yourself from coming to the dojo unless you have symptoms. Please continue to use your own judgment as to your individual risk.

*This policy is current as of this date and is subject to change. We are always closely monitoring the current environment and COVID-19 national and local guidelines in order to make decisions and policies to protect the safety of our students and community.
